Invasive Species Presentation for Scentwork.org 2024

We gave a one hour talk about our work with two invasive species – the devil weed plant and yellow crazy ant. 

Topics included training methods, GPS tracks and detection distances, environmental conditions affecting the dogs’ detection, coaching dog handlers, and more. The recording is available through Scentwork.org.

Weed Control Workshop 2022

We were invited to talk about our Devil Weed Detection Dog program at the 2022 Weed Control Workshop, which also featured presentations from various Hawai‘i conservation agencies.

Wildlife Wednesdays Presentation

This virtual presentation was hosted by Hawaii Public Library System and the Kaua‘i National Wildlife Refuge Complex. In addition to talking about our current, past and future projects, we talked about important considerations when implementing a K9 project for wildlife conservation.
