SEA TURTLES

What and Why:

CDH has been subcontracted by Country Canine LLC to support a project by the Marine Corps that will utilize detection dogs to discriminate between actual sea turtle nests and "false crawls." False crawls look like nests, however there are no eggs below the surface.

Target Species: Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas)

Where: Kāne‘ohe, O‘ahu

Permits: CDH is permitted to handle sea turtle cloacal mucsu samples.
